Both are also my top favorite voice actors. I actually stumbled on this blog while searching for the said Drama CD. Please note that voice actors for Ren are different between childhood and grown up. As a child, Ren is voiced by Sanpei Yuuko and grown up by Kamiya-san.
To listen to part 13, which is when Kamiya-san as Ren comes out, go here. On with today then. Yes, today is much better than yesterday. I got up early with a sense of refreshment. I guess it took me one whole day to get over my end of week exhaustion. I so fucking hate that. Anyway, got the camera out and took loads of photos.
Who would have guessed my sisters and I have moved into this old house with massive Sakura trees surrounding us. Not I!
Even had a late lunch sitting outside admiring the beautiful flowers. You could say I had a Hana Viewing. Lucky me. I felt like I was with the Princeton brothers. As if. A few photos to show off. She turned on her side, wiping tears from her cheeks. Then she cupped her hands together and began her prayer, her wee heart aching with loneliness. If you are out there, please listen to me.
Byrd whipped me. That ought to account for something, right? So please hear my prayer. I want a nice family to adopt me. I want them to love me. I want a mama and a papa who love me and hug me when I have nightmares. Anyway, please help me find a nice family. The Princetons would be nice. No, not just nice. She sat up and got out of bed, praying very hard it was still too early for anyone to be up. She quietly opened the door, slipped out, and silently made her way across the dark corridor, down the stairs, and then toward the kitchen.
There, she reached for the knob and turned. Slowly and quietly, she cracked the door open while she glanced behind her shoulder in case anyone saw her. All she wanted was a glass of milk, but Mrs. Byrd would slap her again if she were to take milk without permission. Sakura thought she was safe and let her guard down. She came to a complete stop and gasped in fright the moment she saw Mrs.
The woman had her back to Sakura. She was busy pouring a big can of liquid around the room. Sakura frowned, her nose twitching at the odd scent. Margaret Byrd jumped and twisted around, her eyes large in horror. Sakura became limp and whimpered as the pain screamed in her body. She was shaking from head to toe as she stared at the large woman heading toward her. She was so afraid that tears burned in her eyes, and she automatically protected herself by hugging her body into a small ball.
Do you understand? All she wanted was for the woman to let her go and leave her alone. Margaret, however, did none of those things and shook Sakura hard. You understand. Margaret Byrd is dead. If anyone asks, say I died in the fire. She wanted the woman to stop hurting her. Margaret smiled. She fumbled her hands into the pocket of her dress and took out a lighter.
Sakura watched, her eyes large as the woman started flicking the thing, again and again, her hand shaking, until a small flame was born. Then she threw the light onto the countertop, and instantly, it was engulfed with fire. The woman took out a rolling pin. With the thing in hand, she turned her attention to Sakura. Little Sakura watched in horror as the pin flew toward her in one forceful blow, smashing against her face.
She landed on the floor, her small body in a mangled position. She felt numb all over and all she could see was darkness. Her instincts, however, told her she was in danger, and she tried to open her eyes.
Through the haze of her vision, she watched as Mrs. Byrd opened the door, a heavy bag in her hand. With a smile on her face, she walked out. Alone and surrounded by fire, Sakura closed her eyes and blackness eventually took her.
Her whole body was shaking like a leaf as she sat there staring into space. The nightmare of that night had returned, and the look of Mrs. Sakura shook her head as she willed her tears to remain at bay.
I was hallucinating. She knew for certain Mrs. Byrd was still alive. Toby sensed her disquiet and awoke, his eyes large with concern. He came to her and begged to be hugged. Sakura obliged and embraced her dog tight against her chest as she lay there under the thickness and warmness of her duvet. Then I went ahead and listened to the Drama CD. The main character, Ren, was voiced by Kamiya Hiroshi hyperventilating with excitement. Kamiya-san is super awesome. Just love his voice. I simply wanted to hear him as Ren do some awesome hot voice acting scene with Morikawa Toshiyuki as Haru.
Kamiya-san is one of my top ten favorite Japanese seiyuu voice actor. And of course, everyone knows him as the great kick-ass, clean-freak captain Levi in Attack on Titian.
